Share a Spoon: Comfort Food
Hello all.
Think Tank Momma is doing her Share a Spoon Thursday in honor of Daffy this week. I'm sure you are all aware by now of the struggle Daffy is going through. You can visit her here to send her your positive thoughts and prayers.
You can visit Think Tank Momma here to check out all of the yummy recipes this week. The theme this week is comfort food.
I pretty much grew up on comfort style foods. Everything was covered in gravy, sauce, cheese, chocolate or some combination thereof. That's a huge reason for my ongoing struggle with The Fatness.
Anywho, this is one of my favorite comfort foods. It is in no way light, fat free, reduced calorie or healthy. It is buttery and delicious and super easy to make. You can eat it warm or cold. You can put ice cream on it or eat it with ham. It is basically the perfect food.
It is Pineapple Dressing.
Enjoy.
5 slices bread
4 eggs
1 stick softened margarine
1 cup sugar
pinch of salt
1 (16 oz) can crushed pineapple
Dice bread and put it in a baking dish. Mix the other ingredients together and pour over bread. Let it set for 1/2 hour. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-45 minutes.
That's it.
In case you are wondering, I have tried to make this recipe Weight Watchers style and it just doesn't work. Don't even bother trying it.

Interesting. So, does the bread kinda like disappear? Or is it like mushy like bread pudding?
