I'm sitting here in my pajamas blogging on my new laptop, which I have lovingly named Alfreda. Why such an awesome name? I'm not sure. I had Hitchcock on my brain but wanted my laptop to be a girl, so Alfreda it was. Plus, it annoys MB. Teeheehee.
MB says it's my laptop but he gets to use it when he teaches classes because he needs to use power point. I said since it's my laptop, I wanted it to be pink. He said that wouldn't be very professional for him as a teacher. I said I thought he was secure in his manhood. He didn't respond and we didn't get a pink laptop.
Anyweigh, I have been in my pj's all day because I've had a headache for the past 2 days. Arghh. It started out as a mild one that was tolerable with ibuprofen but morphed into The Beast early this morning. My head felt like a brick and I could barely keep my eyes open. Then the nausea hit. Then I was finally able to throw up and relieve some of the pain and pressure and finally take some real medication. There's really no point in taking meds when you know you won't keep them down. It's just a waste. So, I basically passed out after that and woke up around 5 or so feeling a lot better.
Now, I'm here facing the dreaded weekly weigh in. I have had another week of minimal progress. It seems that I am still in some sort of funk when it comes to my health. Which is probaby why I've been migraining. I'm snapping out of it though. It's getting warmer outside, the snow is melting and I am finally feeling motivated to get moving and make some changes. I know I've said that before, but this is for real, my peeps. I want to start feeling good again and the only way that is going to happen is for me to get on track again.
So, enough gab. It's time for the weigh in. I should tell you that in an effort to be more accurate with my weigh ins and to finally spend the gift card that was burning a hole in my pocket, I got a new scale. It measures weight, body fat and hydration. I'm not sure what the hydration percentage means as applied to my health goals, but it's still pretty cool.
I got the scale last Monday and my first weigh in was slightly different than what my old non-digital scale was reading. It said 199. The new one said 205.6. That was just a test run so I stripped for a truly accurate reading which was 201.2. Corduroys and wooly socks sure are heavy. Then, I weighed in last Tuesday, which I forgot to post and it was 200.2 (yay! that was 1 pound down). Today, it is 200.8. Up a little, but that's okay. At least I know I am getting accurate readings now. My body fat is 39.9% and my hydration is 43.8%.
My goals for this coming week are to increase the exercise by doing Slim in 6 at least 3 days and yoga at least 2 days. I am also increasing my fruit and veggie intake and tracking WW points again. It's time for some real change, people. Bikini season is coming!
